Editorial policy

These are the rules behind every guide on onwora.com.

1. Sources

A guide should point you to the authority that can confirm a rule: a government, a tax office, a health system, a court, or a named piece of research. When sources disagree, we say so, or we leave the claim out. We do not invent income thresholds, fees or rankings.

2. Not advice

The guides are general information. They are not legal, tax, immigration, medical or financial advice, and they are not a recommendation to move, buy, insure or invest. Your situation needs a qualified person in the countries that apply to you.

3. Built to last

We prefer a method you can reuse over a list that expires. When a rule changes and we update a guide, the page shows the updated date. The address of the guide stays the same.

4. Corrections

We correct mistakes in public, on the same page, with a date. How to report one is on the corrections page. Write to hello@onwora.com.

5. Independence

onwora is not owned by an insurer or a seminar seller. A commercial arrangement, if we make one, is labelled and does not decide the contents of a guide. See Advertise.

6. Photographs

Hero photographs are used under the Unsplash licence, with the photographer's name and a link to the photo page under the image.

7. Artificial intelligence

We use AI tools for research, for gathering published material, and sometimes for a first draft. A person checks the guide before publication and checks it against the sources it cites. Answer engines may index onwora if they name us and link to the original page, as described in llms.txt.

8. Voice

We write with respect, not pity. The reader is deciding, not being managed.
